Lecture about Hydrogen economy, today and tomorrow
Through the online platform of the Faculty of Economics Zagreb and organized by the Institute of Energy and Environmental Economics on 27 April 2021 from 4 to 6 PM will be held on a lecture on the topic of Hydrogen economy, today and tomorrow, which will be presented by Mr. Branko Milićević in Croatian language.
Branko Milicevic is the secretary of the Group of Experts on Gas of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). Prior to joining UNECE Branko worked at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, mostly on energy statistics and sustainable development. A chemical engineer by training (MSc in electrochemical energy sources), he was involved in development and commercialization of hydrogen fuels cells in the United States.

ICED Conference 2019.
At the Faculty of Economics Zagreb 2.12.2019. The International Economics of Decoupling Conference (ICED) was held on. The organizers of the conference are the Faculty of Economics Zagreb and the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, co-organized by the Institute of Economics of Energy and the Environment. The conference presented 40 foreign and domestic papers in 8 sessions on economic growth and resource consumption, energy economics, environmental economics, green economy, waste management, circular economy, and the digital economy. The Collection of Abstracts will be published shortly, followed by the Collection of Papers published by the Faculty of Economics and the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts. The conference will continue to be held once a year in early December.

Visit of the students of specialist graduate professional studies in energy and environmental economics to the nuclear power plant of Krško
On April 11, 2019 students of the specialist graduate professional studies in Energy and Environmental Economics and teachers of this study were on an expert and educational excursion to Slovenia.
The students first visited the Krško Cultural Center, where the representatives of the Nuclear Power Plant Krško (NPP) presented their film about the work of NPP, then held a presentation followed by a tour of the Information Center of the Power Plant in the Cultural Center. After the Cultural Center, students went on a one-hour tour through NEK led under expert guidance. After NEK the students payed visit to the Brežice hydroelectric power plant. There they were received by the HPP representative, who gave a lecture on its construction and work, followed by a sightseeing of the plant. In the afternoon excursionists returned to Zagreb.

Blockchain in Business Use – lecture held on March 2019
The visiting lecture on Blockchain in Business Use on March 25, 2019, was given by Mr. Ratko Mutavdžić, founder and CEO of Pojektura, an advisory company that is working with new and emerging technologies in order to implement them in organizations and corporations.
A lecture was held on the application of blockchain in various activities of the Croatian economy, from finance to energy sector as well as public administration. The topic, as well as the application of new technologies in general, actively involved students and others present.
The lecture was held in the organization of InNEEO – Institute for Energy and Environment Economics.

We invite you to a FREE LECTURE on BLOCKCHAIN IN BUSINESS, to be held on Monday, 25 March 2019 at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb, J. F. Kennedy Square 6, in the Congress Hall at 17h. The guest lecturer is Ratko Mutavdžić, founder and CEO of Pojektura, an advisory company that is working with new and emerging technologies for implementation in organizations and corporations. He was the director of cloud services in Microsoft, where he worked for 16 years.
He led an advisory group, a support group for development of new products, and a sales management group. He is the author of many published professional papers on various technology topics, owner of famous blogs on new technology and project management, and an active participant in various social networks where new ways of applying innovations and inventions are found. He is often a speaker at various conferences and workshops, generally at any place where people are exploring, questioning, thinking and dealing with innovations.
